Honoring the rich history of the
National Lacrosse League
ABOUT
The National Lacrosse League (NLL), founded in 1986, is North America's premier professional indoor lacrosse league, showcasing a fast-paced version of the traditional sport with deep Indigenous roots.
The league's origins trace back to earlier attempts at professional box lacrosse in the 1970s, but the NLL solidified its presence with a more organized structure and growing fan base.
Over the decades, the NLL has expanded across Canada and the United States, fostering a vibrant community and elevating the sport’s profile on the global stage. Today, it stands as a testament to lacrosse's rich history and its continued evolution as a modern, competitive sport.
The National Lacrosse League boasts a vast network of alumni, with hundreds of former players who have contributed to the league’s growth and the sport’s legacy. To keep this community connected, the National Lacrosse League Alumni Club (NLLAC) serves as a vital link, bringing together past players from around the world.
The club provides a platform for alumni to reconnect, share experiences, and stay involved with the sport through events, mentorship opportunities, and community outreach. By fostering these connections, the NLLAC helps preserve the league’s rich history while supporting former players in building lifelong bonds beyond their playing careers.

Honoring the past, celebrating the future

This initiative is a long-overdue tribute to the pioneers of our league, creating a vibrant community where we can reconnect and celebrate our shared history. The NLL has been a significant part of my life, and the opportunity to engage with fellow alumni is something I’m all about.
Joining the NLL Alumni Club means more than just reconnecting with old friends; it’s about fostering a supportive network that honors our legacy while inspiring the next generation of players. I encourage everyone to be a part of this incredible journey as we build a community that values our past and embraces the future together.

There have been so many great people, friendships and memories from my time in the NLL. Lacrosse is often described as a small community, and this gives us all a chance to reunite this community for participants dating back over 30 years ago.
I look forward to seeing some old friends via the NLL Alumni Club. This network will present many opportunities to connect, share some laughs, create social opportunities while we discuss the legacy of the MILL/NLL and the future of lacrosse.

What a great way to reconnect with old teammates and friends from our early playing days. Our great game has come such a long way from the early days. However the excitement, compete and camaraderie hasn't changed.
I really do think of the NLL as a large community/family of great athletes, competitors, pioneers but most importantly great people and friends. I truly believe this would an amazing way to reminisce, share ideas and continue to grow our game. Looking forward to catching up soon.
